SHUXING FAN - PRINCIPAL DESIGNER Shuxing is a native of Beijing, China. After the Cultural Revolution in 1977 he was selected from thousands of applicants to study at the Central Academy of Drama in Beijing. Upon graduation he accepted the academies offer of a teaching position in set design, scenic painting and graphic illustration. His work in China gained him a three-year graduate scholarship to Boston University. He was awarded his MFA in Set Design in 1991. After graduation he served as charge painter for Center Stage in Baltimore and later moved to Scaena Studios as a scenic artist.
